What we move
Prices are starting points for moves within Sheffield. Your final price depends on volume, access (stairs, lifts, parking) and distance, and we confirm it in writing before the day. Tap “Add to quote” to build your request.
A full move from one home to another with a crew of two or three and a Luton van. We dismantle and reassemble beds and wardrobes, wrap furniture in blankets, and place everything in the right room at the new address.
An hourly service for small moves: a student room, a few pieces of furniture, items from a storage unit. One or two people and a van, charged by the hour from arrival to finish.
We pack your home the day before the move, so you only need to set aside what you will use overnight. Fragile items are wrapped individually, and every box is labelled with its room and contents.
Moves from Sheffield to anywhere in England, Scotland and Wales. We load in the morning and deliver the same day for most UK destinations, or the next morning for longer routes.
Moves for small offices, shops and studios. We can work evenings and weekends so your business keeps trading, and we label desks, IT equipment and files so each workstation is set up where you want it.
One sofa, a fridge freezer, a piano stool or a marketplace purchase. We collect, wrap, carry and deliver within Sheffield, usually within a few days of booking.

*Loading and unloading for a move within Sheffield with normal access. Stairs without a lift, long carries and parking restrictions add time.
Packing supplies
Double-wall cardboard boxes that hold their shape when stacked in the van. We drop kits off free when you book a removal, or deliver them in Sheffield for £5.
Everything to pack a studio or one-bedroom flat: books and kitchenware in the small boxes, clothes and bedding in the large ones.
For a two- or three-bedroom home, with two hanging wardrobe boxes so clothes travel on their hangers and come out uncreased.
Need a few more? Order boxes individually. Each is double-wall, flat-packed and rated for about 30 kg when taped on the base.
How booking works
Send both addresses, the date and a room-by-room list, or photos. A video call walk-through also works.
We reply with one price in writing that covers the van, crew, materials and travel.
Confirm by email or phone. Packing kits are dropped off before the move if you ordered them.
We arrive in the agreed slot, protect floors, load, drive and place every item in its room.

Grid Batter Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and based in Sheffield city centre. We carry out domestic and small commercial removals across South Yorkshire and take long-distance jobs throughout Great Britain.
We keep things simple: one fixed price agreed before the day, a crew that turns up in the agreed time slot, and furniture that arrives wrapped and undamaged. If your plans change, tell us and we will adjust the booking.
